RAY MARRIOTT was the founder of the Royal Naval Covers Group (RNCG).

He 'crossed the bar' on the 19th June 1992 having founded the Group in 1983 because of his deep love for the Royal Navy.

It was his earnest wish to to record the history of the Royal Navy through his hobby of philately.

At the same time, he sought to foster a good relationship with members of the Senior Service, both serving and retired.

Through his efforts, he raised a large sum of money for the benefit of many Naval charities.

His daughter, Mrs Lynn Radford has been a great support to us at the RNCG.
